An aremac having a focus liberator is disclosed. The aremac may be built into wearable information display devices, handheld information display devices, or used as a viewfinder for a wearable or handheld camera. The focus liberator ensures that the information that is displayed to an eye of the user is in sharp focus, regardless of the focus of the lens in the user's eye. If the muscles in the lens of the user's eye relax fully, as when the user would be focusing on an object at infinite distance, the information displayed to the user's eye will be in sharp focus. If the muscles in the lens of the user's eye tense up as when the user would be focusing on an object centimeters away, the information displayed will still remain in sharp focus, and likewise for any other focal distance of the lens of an eye of the user. The aremac with focus liberator is useful for augmented reality, mediated reality, eye-tap cameras, and the like. where displayed information is overlaid onto real world objects, or used to modify the visual appearance of portions of real world objects.
