A catalytic combustor is configured to accelerate the combustion processing of anode off gas in the combustor to reduce the amount of unburned hydrogen discharged to the outside of the combustor. Anode off gas and cathode off gas discharged from the fuel cell (1) are fed into the catalytic combustor (25) and combusted with a catalyst (29). Ventilation air is supplied from inside of the fuel cell (1) is also supplied to the catalytic combustor (25). A portion of the catalytic combustor (25) located upstream of the catalyst (29) inside is divided into an upper flow path (37) and a lower flow path (39) by a partitioning plate (35) and a gas flow passage 33 is provided upstream of the upper and lower flow paths (37 and 39). The cathode off gas is supplied to the gas flow passage (33).

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de combustion catalytique conçu pour accélérer le processus de combustion d'un gaz de dégagement anodique dans le dispositif de combustion afin de réduire la quantité d'hydrogène non brûlé évacuée vers l'extérieur du dispositif de combustion. Le gaz de dégagement anodique et le gaz de dégagement cathodique sortant de la pile à combustible (1) sont introduits dans le dispositif de combustion catalytique (25) et brûlés au moyen d'un catalyseur (29). De l'air de ventilation est amené depuis l'intérieur de la pile à combustible (1), il est également amené dans le dispositif de combustion catalytique (25). Une partie du dispositif de combustion catalytique (25) placée en amont de l'intérieur du catalyseur (29) est séparée en un passage d'écoulement supérieur (37) et un passage d'écoulement inférieur (39) par une plaque de séparation (35) et un passage d'écoulement (33) pour le gaz est ménagé en amont des passages (37 et 39). Le gaz de dégagement cathodique est introduit dans le passage d'écoulement de gaz (33).
