1) A polyrotaxane which has enhanced solubility and is soluble in various solvents, 2) a polyrotaxane which is reversibly responsive to an external stimulus, 3) a chemically crosslinked polyrotaxane which has a high Young's modulus and a high elongation and has a high transmittance, and/or 4) a chemically crosslinked polyrotaxane which is reversibly responsive to an external stimulus; and/or a material containing any of these; and/or processes for producing these. The polyrotaxanes each comprises: a pseudo-polyrotaxane having a structure constituted of cyclic molecules and a linear molecule with which the holes of the cyclic molecules are pierced to form a clathrate; and a blocking group disposed at each end of the pseudo-polyrotaxane so as to prevent the cyclic molecules from leaving. The cyclic molecules have a functional group represented by the following formula (I) and at least one functional group selected among functional groups represented by the following formulae (II-1) to (II-6).

La présente invention concerne 1) un polyrotaxane qui présente une plus grande solubilité et qui est soluble dans divers solvants; 2) un polyrotaxane qui réagit de manière réversible à un stimulus externe; 3) un polyrotaxane réticulé chimiquement qui présente un module d'Young élevé, un allongement élevé et une forte transmittance; et/ou 4) un polyrotaxane réticulé chimiquement qui réagit de manière réversible à un stimulus externe; et/ou un matériau contenant l'un d'entre eux; et/ou des procédés de production de ceux-ci. Les polyrotaxanes comprennent chacun: un pseudo-polyrotaxane dont la structure est constituée de molécules cycliques et d'une molécule linéaire avec laquelle les cavités des molécules cycliques sont formées de façon qu'on obtienne un clathrate; et un groupe bloquant disposé à chaque extrémité du pseudo-polyrotaxane de façon à empêcher les molécules cycliques de se détacher. Les molécules cycliques comprennent un groupe fonctionnel représenté par la formule (I) et au moins un groupe fonctionnel sélectionné parmi des groupes fonctionnels représentés par les formules (II-1) à (II-6).
