The disclosure is of a gated display rack for dispensing card- mounted products and for reducing pilferage therefrom. An anti- sweeper device predeterminedly spaced from the front of the dispensing hooks, which includes a pair of positionable side plates and a gate, is attached to the pair of fixed side plates. The gate is positionable between an on-sale position and a loading position, and the gate, when in the on-sale position, is aligned with the front of each dispensing hooks so as to cover a portion of the product card and inhibit removal of the card-mounted product. Also, when the gate is in the on-sale position, because the spacing between the gate and the front of the dispensing hooks is limited, the product cards may only be dispensed one or two at a time. With the gated display rack, a user removes a product by grasping a product card and exerting a downward force thereon. The flexed dispensing hook exposes the previously covered portion of the product card; and, the grasped product card is dispensed by the user moving the card along the dispensing hook and removing the card from the then exposed portion.
