A method and an instrument serving for correcting the shape of an external ear, for example jug ears, lop ears, cop ears or Stahl's ears. Correction takes place by, from two sides, affecting a chosen zone of the ear (17) for a period of time with forces for giving the cartilage of that zone a permanent deformation. The instrument comprises a matrix (19) and a patrix (20) interconnected by a hinge (22) and made to, from each side, interactingly affect a chosen zone of the ear for a relatively long period of time with forces for giving the cartilage of that zone a permanent deformation. The hinge can by means of a screw (27) be fixed in the correcting position until the deformation of the cartilage is permanent. A deformed ear can by means of the invention more easily and effectively than known per se be corrected non- surgically.
L'invention concerne procédé et instrument de correction de la forme d'une oreille externe, telle que les oreilles décollées, les oreilles tombantes, les oreilles pointues ou les oreilles de Stahl. La correction s'effectue à partir des deux côtés, on soumet une zone sélectionnée de l'oreille (17) à des forces exercées pendant un laps de temps de manière à déformer en permanence le cartilage de cette zone. L'instrument comprend une matrice (19) et un patrice (20) interconnectés par une articulation (22) de manière à interagir sur une zone sélectionnée de l'oreille pendant un laps de temps relativement long en exerçant des forces servant à effectuer une déformation permanente du cartilage de cette zone. L'articulation peut être fixée à l'aide d'une vis (27) dans la position de correction jusqu'à ce que la déformation du cartilage soit permanente. Une oreille déformée peut être corrigée sans intervention chirurgicale de manière plus aisée et efficace par rapport aux techniques connues à ce jour.
