ABSTRACT A suspension assembly (10) for a tipping trailer (2) including a tipping body (4) and a hoist mechanism (5) to move the tipping body between a substantially horizontal carrying position and an inclined tipping position, said suspension assembly comprising a bogie having a first pair of parallel axles (13) interconnected and maintained in spaced apart relationship by a connecting member (15), a third axle (16) parallel to and forward of said first pair of axles, and road wheels (17) mounted with each of said axles, said third axle being mounted to a first end of a beam (18) pivotally connected at a second end with said connecting member and pivotally mounted to said tipping body (4) intermediate said first and second end to permit movement of the tipping body by said hoist mechanism without vertical displacement of the road wheels (17) mounted with either axle of said first pair of axles from the ground.
