There are described a method and an apparatus for producing a gear wheel from a powder metal blank (1) pressed and sintered with an overmeasure in the tooth- ing area, which powder metal blank is compacted under a plastic deformation in the vicinity of the overmeasure by pressing against a counter-toothing (8) of at least one rotating pressing tool (3) by the overmeasure, which counter- toothing engages in the toothing (9) of the powder metal blank (1). To create advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that the counter-toothing (8) designed as internal toothing of the annular pressing tool (3) enclosing the powder metal blank (1) is pressed into the toothing (9) of the powder metal blank (1) by means of a pressure roller rolling on the outside periphery (10) of the pressing tool (3).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de produire une roue dentée à partir d'une ébauche en poudre métallique (1) comprimée et frittée de façon à présenter une surépaisseur dans la zone de la denture. Ladite ébauche en poudre métallique (1) est, dans la zone de sa surépaisseur, comprimée à une valeur correspondant à cette surépaisseur, ce qui crée une déformation plastique, par pression d'une contre-denture (8) d'au moins un outil de pression (3) rotatif, qui s'engrène avec la denture (9) de ladite ébauche (1). Pour que des conditions avantageuses du point de vue de la conception soient créées, il est proposé que la contre-denture (8), à savoir une denture intérieure, de l'outil de pression (3) annulaire qui entoure l'ébauche en poudre métallique (1), soit pressée dans la denture (9) de ladite ébauche (1) à l'aide d'un galet de pression roulant sur la périphérie extérieure (10) de l'outil de pression (3).
