Motorisation system (20) for an opening (2) comprising side plates (6) cooperating with hinges (8,10) secured in the stone work (12), one of the hinges (10) being driven by a motor (30), characterised in that one of the hinges (10) consists of a housing (22) intended to be sealed in the stone work (12), said housing (22) incorporating a motor and a geared motor wherein the output shaft is perpendicular to a plane passing via the motor axis (30), said output shaft being coupled with at least one of said plates (6).
