Compositions and methods for treatment of dermal scarring and wrinkling, by application to the skin of a cosmetically effective amount of plantain (Plantago major). The plantain may be utilized in powdered form in an aqueous paste or poultice that is applied to the skin for various periods of time from 1 to 10 hours at a frequency of 1-12 times per week, for a period of 3-50 weeks or more. The composition is effective to remediate dermal scarring and wrinkling, and at least partially restore skin to an undamaged, undeteriorated state.

La présente invention concerne des compositions et des procédés de traitement de cicatrices cutanées et de rides, reposant sur l~application cutanée d~une quantité efficace d~un point de vue cosmétique de plantain (Plantago major). Le plantain peut être utilisé sous forme de poudre, dans une pâte aqueuse ou dans un cataplasme qui est appliqué sur la peau avec des temps de pose différents allant de 1 à 10 heures selon une fréquence de 1 à 12 fois par semaine, et ce, durant une période allant de 3 à 50 semaines ou plus. La composition est efficace pour estomper des cicatrices cutanées et des rides, et pour régénérer au moins partiellement la peau afin d~en effacer des lésions et des marques du temps.
