A process for making a detergent composition, the detergent composition comprising: a) from about 0.1% to about 50% by weight of the composition of a polymer in particulate form comprising: i) a carboxylic acid monomer; ii) more than about 5% by weight of the polymer of a sulfonic acid monomer; and iii) optionally a non-ionic monomer; and b) from about 0.01% to about 10% by weight of the composition of a hydrophobic silica. the process comprising the steps of: a) pre-mixing the polymer with the hydrophobic silica to obtain a polymer/silica premix; and b) mixing polymer/silica premix with any additional detergent components.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une composition détergente, la composition détergente comprenant : a) d'environ 0,1 % à environ 50 % en poids de la composition d'un polymère sous forme particulaire comprenant : i) un monomère acide carboxylique ; ii) plus d'environ 5 % en poids du polymère d'un monomère acide sulfonique ; et iii) éventuellement un monomère non ionique ; et b) d'environ 0,01 % à environ 10 % en poids de la composition d'une silice hydrophobe. Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes consistant à : a) mélanger préalablement le polymère avec la silice hydrophobe afin d'obtenir un prémélange polymère / silice ; et b) mélanger le prémélange polymère / silice avec tout composant détergent additionnel.
