The hearing device to be worn by a user of the hearing device comprises - an input transducer for transducing incoming acoustical sound into audio signals; - a signal processor for processing audio signals; - an output transducer for transducing audio signals into outgoing acoustical sound. Said signal processor is designed such that there exists an input SPL range (.DELTA.SPLin) of at least a portion of said incoming acoustical sound, in which an increase (.delta.+SPLin) in input SPL (SPLin) of said at least one portion of said incoming acoustical sound results in a decrease (.delta.-SPLout) in output SPL (SPLout) of at least a portion of said outgoing acoustical sound, wherein SPL stands for sound pressure level. Through this, at high input SPL (SPLin) the hearing device' s power consumption can be reduced by making use of direct sound, which propagate as sound waves from outside the user' s ear canal to the user' s ear drum.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif auditif à porter par un utilisateur comprenant un transducteur d'entrée pour convertir les sons entrants en signaux audio; un processeur de signaux pour traiter les signaux audio; - un transducteur de sortie pour convertir l'entrée de signaux audio en une sortie de sons. Ledit processeur de signaux est conçu pour qu'il y ait une plage SPL (niveau de pression acoustique) en entrée (.DELTA.SPLin) qui correspond à au moins une partie de ladite entrée de son, dans laquelle une augmentation (.delta.+SPLin) de la SPL en entrée (SPLin) de ladite ou desdites parties d'entrée de son entraîne une réduction (.delta.-SPLout) de la SPL en sortie (SPLout) d'au moins une partie de ladite sortie de son. À un niveau élevé de SPL en entrée (SPLin), la consommation électrique du dispositif auditif peut ainsi être réduite en exploitant le son direct qui se propage sous la forme d'ondes sonores de l'extérieur du canal auditif de l'utilisateur vers la membrane de tympan de l'utilisateur.
