There are described compositions comprising a) an emulsion crude rubber, synthetic latex or natural rubber latex subject to oxidative, thermal, dynamic and/or light-induced degradation, and b) as stabiliser at least one compound of formula I Image wherein R1 is C8-C20alkyl; and optionally c) as further stabiliser at least one compound of formula II Image wherein R2 is C8-C12alkyl, R3 is hydrogen, C1-C,2alkyl, cyclohexyl, 1- methylcyclohexyl, benzyl, .alpha.-methylbenzyl, .alpha.,.alpha.-dimethylbenzyl or -CH2-S-R2, R4 is C1-C12alkyl, benzyl, a-methylbenzyl, a,a-dimethylbenzyl or -CH2-S-R2, and R5 is hydrogen or methyl.
