Laying out a paragraph using a layout services library. An entire paragraph is defined as a single text run. The text run is laid out by substituting glyphs for the characters of the text run and then positioning the glyphs. After the text run is laid out, the length of the text run is compared to the line length. If the length of the text run exceeds the line length, then the text run is divided into a parent text run and a child text run. If justification is enabled, then the parent text run is justified. If a child text run is created, then the length of the child text run is compared to the line length. If the length of the child text run exceeds the line length, then the process is repeated until the length of the last child text run does not exceed the line length. A layout services library provides text processing functions which support the paragraph layout and the justification.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de mise en forme de paragraphe faisant appel à une bibliothèque de services de mise en forme. On définit un paragraphe entier comme un seul texte. Le procédé met en forme le texte en remplaçant les caractères du texte par des glyphes et en positionnant les glyphes. Une fois le texte mis en forme, la longueur du texte et la longueur des lignes sont comparées. Si la longueur du texte dépasse la longueur des lignes, le texte est divisé en un texte père et un texte fils. Si la justification est validée, le texte père est justifié. Si un texte fils a été créé, la longueur du texte fils et la longueur des lignes sont comparées. Si la longueur du texte fils dépasse la longueur des lignes, le processus se répète jusqu'à ce que la longueur du texte fils soit inférieure à la longueur des lignes. Une bibliothèque de services de mise en forme fournit les fonctions de traitement de texte qui permettent la mise en forme et la justification de paragraphes.
