A bone gripping pincers for osteosynthetic purposes has a swivel joint that can be locked, a minimum of two jaws, and a minimum of two legs. After bone fragments have been set by means of the bone gripping pincers, its swivel joint can be locked, so that it can act as a permanent bone clamp. The legs can be removed. By means of a connection pin mounted on the pincers, it is possible to combine several bone pincers into a stable osteosynthetic setting device.
