A post-processing filtering apparatus for use in an image signal decoding system, capable of improving the image quality of the system, comprises: memory means for storing the decoded image data of the current frame; a buffer for storing a target pixel data; means for filtering target pixel data to provide filtered target pixel data; means for adding a predetermined threshold to the target pixel data, thereby providing an upper value; first comparison means for comparing the filtered target pixel data with the upper value to provide a first selection signal; first selection means for selecting, in response to the first selection signal, the target pixel data stored at the buffer or the filtered target pixel data; means for subtracting the predetermined threshold from the target pixel data, thereby providing a lower value; second comparison means for comparing either the filtered target pixel data or the target pixel data selected at the first selection means, with the lower value to provide a second selection signal; second selection means for selecting, in response to the second selection signal, the target pixel data, or either the filtered target pixel data or the target pixel data selected at the first selection means, to thereby provide a filtered result; and means for updating the target pixel data stored at the memory means with the filtered result.
Cette invention concerne un appareil de filtrage et de traitement postérieur pouvant être utilisé dans un système de décodage de signaux d'image et permettant d'améliorer la qualité d'image du système, lequel appareil comprend les éléments suivants: un dispositif de mémoire pour stocker les données d'image décodées de la trame courante; une mémoire tampon pour stocker des données de pixels cibles; un dispositif de filtrage des données de pixels cibles afin d'obtenir des données filtrées de pixels cibles; un dispositif d'addition d'un seuil prédéterminé aux données de pixels cibles afin d'obtenir une valeur supérieure; un premier dispositif de comparaison afin de comparer les données filtrées de pixels cibles à la valeur supérieure et d'obtenir ainsi un premier signal de sélection; un premier dispositif de sélection afin de sélectionner, en réponse au premier signal de sélection, soit les données de pixels cibles stockées dans la mémoire tampon, soit les données filtrées de pixels cibles; un dispositif de soustraction permettant de soustraire le seuil prédéterminé des données de pixels cibles afin d'obtenir une valeur inférieure; un second dispositif de comparaison afin de comparer les données filtrées de pixels cibles ou les données de pixels cibles sélectionnées par le premier dispositif de sélection à la valeur inférieure, et d'obtenir ainsi un second signal de sélection; un second dispositif de sélection afin de sélectionner, en réponse au second signal de sélection, les données de pixels cibles ou, soit les données filtrées de pixels cibles, soit les données de pixels cibles sélectionnées par le premier dispositif de sélection, ceci afin d'obtenir un résultat filtré; et, enfin, un dispositif de mise à jour des données de pixels cibles stockées dans le dispositif de mémoire à l'aide du résultat filtré.
