A preferred embodiment of the preferred invention comprises a right angle attachment (10) for a power hand tool (20) of the type which has a generally cylindrical elongated housing with a motor contained within the housing or case and the motor having an output shaft that extends from the nose end of the hand tool (20). The attachment (10) has a housing (12) with a mounting end (14) that fits on the nose end portion (22) of the tool housing, with the housing (12) having an input shaft (30) and an output shaft (48) that are operatively coupled together by bevel gears (44, 46) attached to each shaft. A magnet (74) is mounted on the output shaft (48) near an electric circuit (62, 64, 66, 68, 70) located within the housing (12) for producing current that drives the LED's. Since the magnet (74) and the circuit are inside the housing (12), a lens (70) is provided in the housing (12) adjacent the light producing device (66) for emitting light to the exterior of the housing (12) and toward the tool attached to the distal end (16).
Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, la présente invention concerne une fixation à angle droit (10) destinée à un outil à main électrique (20) du type présentant un logement allongé généralement cylindrique, un moteur étant contenu à l'intérieur du logement ou boîtier et le moteur présentant un arbre de sortie s'étendant à partir de l'extrémité du nez de l'outil à main (20). La fixation (10) présente un logement (12) et une extrémité de montage (14) qui s'ajuste sur la partie d'extrémité de nez (22) du logement de l'outil, le logement (12) présentant un arbre d'entrée (30) et un arbre de sortie (48) qui sont accouplés fonctionnels au moyen d'engrenages coniques (44, 46) fixés à chaque arbre. Un aimant (74) est monté sur l'arbre de sortie (48) à proximité d'un circuit électrique (62, 64, 66, 68, 70) situé dans le logement (12) afin de produire un courant qui excite les DEL. Etant donné que l'aimant (74) et le circuit sont à l'intérieur du logement (12), une lentille (70) est montée dans le logement (12) de manière adjacente au dispositif de production de lumière (66) afin d'émettre la lumière vers l'extérieur du logement (12) et vers l'outil fixé à l'extrémité distale.
