La touche comprend une partie d'appui et de commande (1) en relief, supportant au moins un caractère d'indication, et des moyens d'éclairage du caractère d'indication. Les moyens d'éclairage comprennent une couche d'éclairage électroluminescente (10) disposée dans le fond de la partie d'appui et de commande (1) en relief et prolongée latéralement soit par des contacts électriques soit par des pistes de liaison électrique (12, 13). Pour la fabrication de la touche, on dispose la couche d'éclairage après avoir sérigraphié le caractère sur un film qu'on a embouti. L'invention sert à la réalisation de claviers.
