It is intended to provide a serum which contains a large amount of a growth factor capable of efficiently promoting the growth of stem cells. Use is made of a human serum for cell culture which shows a remaining platelet content within 20 minutes after the blood collection of 20% or lower based on the total platelet content and the release rate of a cell growth factor of 20% or higher.

La présente invention a pour objet un sérum contenant une quantité importante d~un facteur de croissance susceptible de promouvoir de façon efficace la croissance de cellules souches. La présente invention décrit plus spécifiquement un sérum humain pour culture cellulaire qui présente une teneur résiduelle en plaquettes inférieure à 20 % 20 minutes après la collecte de sang, par rapport à la teneur globale en plaquettes, ainsi qu'un taux de libération de facteur de croissance cellulaire supérieur ou égal à 20 %.
