A method for regulation of the surface level (L20) and the consistency (C s20) in a stock chest (20) for metering of a component stock (M1). Stock is fed as an outward flow (F11) out of the bottom portion (10a) of a stock column (10) by means of a first pump (11) into the stock chest (20). Into this outward flow (F11) a first dilution water flow (F15) is passed, by means of which dilution water flow the consistency of the stock fed into the stock chest (20) is regulated to the desired level. The stock is fed as a metering flow (F1) from the stock chest (20) by means of a third pump (21) into the short circulation of the paper or board machine. The surface level (L20) in the stock chest (20) is kept invariable by means of an overflow (F13) passed from the stock chest (20) into a pumping tank (20a). From the pumping tank (20a) stock is fed as a return flow (F12), by means of a second pump (12), back into the bottom portion (10a) of the storage tower (10). Into this return flow (F12) a second dilution water flow (F16) is passed, by whose means the consistency in the bottom portion (10a) of the storage tower (10) is regulated to the desired level. The stock (M1) is stirred intensively in the bottom portion (S10) of the storage tower (10) and in the stock chest (20, S20) in order to provide a uniform consistency.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de régulation du niveau (L20) de la surface, et de la consistance (Cs20) dans un cuvier à pâte (20) en vue du dosage d'un des constituants de la pâte. Ledit constituant, prélevé à la base (10a) d'une tour de stockage (10), forme un flux extérieur (F11) qu'une première pompe achemine dans le cuvier (20). De l'eau de dilution, ajoutée audit flux (F11), porte au niveau voulu la consistance du constituant remplissant le cuvier (20). Une troisième pompe (21) amène le flux dosé (F1) du cuvier dans la circulation courte de la machine. Le niveau (L20) de la surface dans le cuvier (20) est maintenu constant à l'aide d'un trop plein (F13) allant du cuvier (20) à un réservoir de pompage (20a) d'où la pâte est renvoyée (F12) par une deuxième pompe (12) à la base de la tour de stockage (10). Une deuxième eau de dilution (F16) est ajoutée à ce flux de retour (F12), ce qui permet de porter la consistance à la base (10a) de la tour (10) au niveau voulu. La pâte (M1) est fortement agitée à la base (S10) de la tour (10) et dans le cuvier (20, S20) de manière à obtenir une consistance uniforme.
