A set of endodontic cutting instruments, each having handles and each having a different working tip diameter incrementally increasing in size from one instrument to the next. The set includes a first smaller standard size endodontic cutting instrument having a grasping end with a first color according to a standard color code, a second larger standard size endodontic cutting instrument having a grasping end with a second color according to the standard color code and a non-standard intermediate size endodontic instrument having a size between the first smaller standard size and the second larger standard size and having a grasping end with a color combination including a first portion having the first standard color corresponding to the first smaller standard size and a second portion having the second standard color corresponding to the second larger standard size. Non-standard taper portions on the cutting instruments are provided to smooth stair step root canal cavities. The non-standard taper portions are identified by non-ISO color portions on the handles.
Jeu d'instruments de coupe d'endodontie munis d'un manche et ayant un diamètre de tête de travail de dimension augmentant progressivement d'un instrument à l'autre. Ce jeu comprend : un premier instrument de coupe d'endodontie de petit format standard, dont l'extrémité de préhension est d'une couleur correspondant à un code de couleurs courantes; un deuxième instrument de coupe d'endodontie de plus gros format standard, dont l'extrémité de préhension est d'une couleur correspondant à un code de couleurs courantes; ainsi qu'un autre instrument d'endodontie de format intermédiaire non standard situé entre les formats du premier et du deuxième instruments, dont l'extrémité de préhension est d'une combinaison de couleurs incluant, dans une première partie, la couleur du premier instrument et, dans une seconde partie, la couleur du deuxième instrument. Les parties effilées non standard des instruments de coupe permettent d'égaliser les cavités du canal radiculaire en escalier. Elles sont identifiées selon les couleurs non-ISO des manches.
