An improved ink-receptive sheet comprising a transparent substrate bearing on at least one major surface, an ink-receptive layer comprising an imaging copolymer comprising at least one monomer having quanidinyl functionality (I) wherein A is selected from the group consisting of a COO-alkylene group having from about 1 to about 5 carbon atoms, a CONH-alkylene group having from about 1 to about 3 carbon atoms, -COO-(CH2CH2O)n-CH2-,-CONH-(CH2CHO)n-CH2-, and -(CH2-CH2-NH2Cl)n-, wherein n is from about 1 to about 5; B and D are separatly selected from the groups consisting of alkyl having from about 1 to about 3 carbon atoms; or A, B, D and N are combined to form a heterocyclic compound selected from the group consisting of (II) and (III); R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, phenyl, and an alkyl group containing from about 1 to about 3 carbon atoms; R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, phenyl, benzimidazolyl, and an alkyl group containing from about 1 to about 3 carbon atoms, y is selected from the group consisting of 0 and 1, and X1 and X2 are anions.
