ABSTRACT A dolorimetric device comprising in combination an elongated cylinder, closed at one end by a vent means, which means can be either open to allow passage of air or closed to prevent passage of air; a plunger inserted into the cylinder, which plunger is provided with an air tight seal means on the end inserted into the cylinder which is moveable within the cylinder, and with a skin contacting member on its other end, which member. is at substantially a right angle to the plunger axis; and a reference means whereby the position of the plunger in the cylinder can be established.
