A vessel filter (10) comprising a first region and a second region wherein the filter is movable between a collapsed position for delivery to the vessel and an expanded position for placement within the vessel. A first region has a filter portion (19) having a converging region (21) to direct particles toward the center of the filter and having a plurality of spaced apart elongated struts (14) and, a plurality of connecting struts (14a, 14b) extending at an angle from the elongated struts to form closed geometric shapes (25). The second region is a flared region (17) in the expanded position to have a transverse dimension increasing toward a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The second region includes vessel engaging hooks (72a, 72b) at the second end portion. The filter has a plurality of closed looped spacer struts (40) extending radially with respect to a longitudinal axis of the filter when the filter is in the expanded position, positioned distally of the filter portion.
L'invention concerne un filtre de vaisseau (10) comportant une première zone et une seconde zone, le filtre étant mobile entre une position aplatie pour un agencement dans le vaisseau et une position déployée pour une mise en place dans le vaisseau. Une première zone possède une partie de filtre (19) présentant une zone convergente (21) pour diriger des particules vers le centre du filtre, et possédant une pluralité d'entretoises allongées espacées (14) et une pluralité d'entretoises de liaison (14a, 14b) s'étendant sur un angle depuis les entretoises allongées pour former des formes géométriques fermées (25). La seconde zone est une zone évasée (17) dans la position déployée pour présenter une dimension transversale augmentant vers une seconde partie d'extrémité opposée à la première partie d'extrémité. La seconde zone comporte des crochets de mise en prise avec le vaisseau (72a, 72b) au niveau de la seconde partie d'extrémité. Le filtre possède une pluralité d'entretoises d'espacement en boucle fermée (40) s'étendant radialement par rapport à un axe longitudinal du filtre lorsque le filtre est dans la position déployée, positionnées distalement par rapport à la partie de filtre.
