The invention relates to a lift cage (1), a lift (100) with this lift cage (1) and a method of assembling this lift (100). The lift cage (1) comprises a three-dimensional body (5) for receiving persons or articles to be conveyed and it has a support body (10) for accepting all forces acting on the three-dimensional body during the conveying of the persons or articles. The three-dimensional body (5) is suspended in the support body (10). The support body (10) consists of two side frames (11, 12) which are connected together by way of at least one top frame in moment-stiff manner. The invention also relates to the lift (100) in which the lift cage (1) is mounted and to the method of mounting this lift (100) in a building (200).
