A thermostat has a base having an abutment. An arm is mounted for reciprocating sliding movement relative to the abutment. A drive is operatively connected with the arm for effecting the reciprocating movement. The arm and the abutment are spaced apart to receive a hose therebetween such that the reciprocating movement squeezes the hose to restrict flow therethrough. When the arm and abutment are spaced apart, the hose has unrestricted flow therethrough.
