INCOMING CALL MANAGER Abstract of the Disclosure A telephone system includes a service for transmitting a plurality of different predetermined ringing patterns to a single telephone line, whereby each line can service a like plurality of telecommunication devices, each different ringing pattern being associated with a respective one of the telecommunication devices. In accordance with the invention, there is provided an apparatus for activating one of the devices upon receipt of the ringing pattern associated with the device. The apparatus includes an identifier for identifying the ringing pattern and a director for directing a signal to activate the one of the devices upon identification of the associated ringing pattern.
