A device for adjusting one of the bearing blocks of a roller in a roller group for supporting and moving an endless moved band, such as the traveling screen, conveyor band or the like in papermaking plant, the bearing block (4) being arranged on a slide (3) which is adjustable along at least one guide rail (23) and which can be displaced relative to a carrying structure (1) in the conveying direction of the roller section by an actuating means (5), with the result that the angular position of the roller mounted in the bearing block (4) relative to the conveying direction of the roller section can be varied. In this case, a sliding element (6), which is fastened releasably to the slide (3) and which is produced from a highly slideable material, is arranged between the slide (3) and the at least one guide rail (23) (Figure 3).
