The invention relates to a multi-pin connector (2) that receives a mating connector (20), comprising a housing (3) in which an insulating body (5) having a number of contact inserts (6), each with a jack (7) or pin, that corresponds to the number of lines (8) lead through. The aim of the invention is to improve such a connector, while maintaining its miniaturized connector design, in such a manner as to prevent an ingress of water and as to make sure that the connector (2) can be connected to a connector board or a mating connector (20) or a cap (30) in a water-tight manner. To this end, the insulating body (5) with the contact inserts (6) is disposed in a frame (10) surrounding it and provided with sealing means. Said frame can be connected to the connector board (1) or to a mating connector (20) or a cap (30) in such a manner that the seal (12) is forced against the respective element.
L'invention concerne un connecteur enfichable multipolaire (2) servant à recevoir un connecteur correspondant (20), comportant un boîtier (3) dans lequel est placé un corps isolant (5) qui présente un nombre d'inserts de contact (6) correspondant au nombre de lignes (8) amenées, chaque insert étant équipé de douille (7) ou de broche. L'objectif de l'invention est d'optimiser ledit connecteur, tout en conservant son caractère miniaturisé, de façon à empêcher une pénétration d'eau et à appliquer ledit connecteur enfichable (2) de manière étanche à l'eau sur une carte de raccordement ou un connecteur correspondant (20) ou un capuchon (30). A cet effet le corps isolant (5) comportant les inserts de contact (6) est placé dans un cadre (10) qui l'entoure. Il présente des moyens d'étanchéité et peut être appliqué sur la carte de raccordement (1) ou un connecteur correspondant (20) ou sur un capuchon (30) de sorte que l'élément d'étanchéité (12) soit plaqué à chaque fois contre ces derniers.
