A bird feeder support having at least one tubular member freely moveable upon a horizontally extending support element held at one end to a mounting and having a bird feeder holder at the other end. The tubular member has preferably both a rotational and swinging action when placed out of balance such as when a squirrel's weight is taken upon it so as to dislodge the squirrel. However, the tubular member may be either rotatable or have a swinging action. Because of the horizontal disposition of the support element, the tubular member has complete freedom of movement unhindered by frictional contact with an end support or by axial contact with other tubular members carried upon the support. The support may be provided as a kit of parts.
