ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a hydraulic shut-off valve or fuse and includes a housing, spaced fluid line connectors on the housing, a hydraulic fluid passage in the housing between the connectors, a valve in the fluid passage which is adapted automatically to close the passage on a predetermined fluid pressure drop in the passage across it, a secondary fluid passage which bridges the valve and through which a minor stream of fluid can flow from one side of the valve to the other when the valve is closed, means in the housing which is operable from the outside of the housing for locking the valve in its closed position and for closing the secondary fluid passage.
