The invention relates to a method for obtaining extracts of a natural mixture of conjugated oestrogen from the urine of pregnant mares (PMU). The extracts obtained according to the inventive method fulfil the pharmaceutical specification relating to conjugated oestrogen and the reduction of the free oestrogen content, even when PMU is used which is old, and/or stored or transported at a high temperature. PMU extracts containing a mixture of conjugated oestrogen are obtained by means of solid phase extraction on semipolar adsorption resins.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour obtenir des extraits d'un mélange naturel d'estrogènes conjugués à partir d'urine de juments gravides. Les extraits obtenus satisfont à la spécification pharmaceutique relative aux estrogènes conjugués et à la réduction de la teneur en estrogènes libres à une valeur minimale, même si de l'urine de juments gravides ancienne et/ou stockée ou transportée à des températures élevées est utilisée. L'obtention des extraits contenant un mélange d'estrogènes conjugués à partir d'urine de juments gravides s'effectue par extraction en phase solide sur des résines d'adsorption semi-polaires.
