The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising diazoxide (7-chloro-3-methyl-2H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine-1,1-dioxide) for the production of a medicament for the treatment and/or prevention of ischemia retinae and diseases associated with an ischemia retinae. The composition used for the above may also contain riluzole, or a derivative thereof with neuroprotective activity or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof.

La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'une composition contenant du diazoxide (7-chloro-3méthyl-2H-~1, 2, 4-benzothiadiazine-1, 1-dioxide) pour la préparation d'un médicament destiné au traitement et/ou à la prévention d'une ischémie rétinienne et de maladies associées à une ischémie rétinienne. La composition utilisée dans le cadre de la présente invention peut en outre contenir du riluzole, du riluzole ou un dérivé actif en neuroprotection de celui-ci ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci.
