The use of carboxylic acids having a thioether function, a sulphoxide function or a sulphone function in or for making a cosmetic or dermatological composition for promoting skin exfoliation and/or stimulating epidermal regeneration, is disclosed. The use of said composition for controlling intrinsic and extrinsic skin ageing, and a non-therapeutic skin treatment method useful for skin exfoliation, are also disclosed.

L'invention se rapporte à l'utilisation d'acides carboxyliques porteurs d'une fonction thio-éther, d'une fonction sulfoxyde ou d'une fonction sulfone, dans ou pour la fabrication d'une composition cosmétique ou dermatologique pour favoriser la desquamation de la peau et/ou stimuler le renouvellement épidermique. Elle se rapporte aussi à l'utilisation de cette composition pour lutter contre le vieillissement cutané intrinsèque et extrinsèque ainsi qu'à un procédé de traitement non thérapeutique de la peau destiné à la desquamation de la peau.
