A tamper resistant closure system for a container (15) hav-ing a body, a mouth or opening and a neck portion. The container (15) is fitted with a cap (20) to cover and seal the mouth. The cap (20) is config-ured with a sidewall (21) extending beyond the top (22) sealing portion of the cap thereby defining a peripheral rim for a cavity or an open void cre-ated therewith. Fitted over the cap and preferably at least the neck portion of the container is a protective overwrap (30), such as heat shrinkable thermoplastic band which extends beyond the cap sidewall. The extension of the cap sidewall prevents the overwrap material from securely adhering to the top portion of the cap which would make removal or peeling diffi-cult.

L'invention concerne un système de fermeture inviolable pour un récipient (15) comprenant un corps, une embouchure ou une ouverture et une partie de col. Le récipient (15) est équipé d'un couvercle (20) permettant de recouvrir et de fermer hermétiquement l'embouchure. Le couvercle (20) est doté d'une paroi latérale (21) s'étendant au-delà de la partie de fermeture hermétique supérieure (22) du couvercle, définissant ainsi un bord périphérique pour une cavité ou créant ainsi un vide ouvert. Un suremballage protecteur (30) est ajusté sur le couvercle et de préférence au moins sur la partie de col du récipient, comme par exemple une bande thermoplastique thermorétractable qui s'étend au-delà de la paroi latérale du couvercle. L'extension de la paroi latérale du couvercle empêche le matériau du suremballage d'adhérer à la partie supérieure du couvercle, ce qui rendrait difficile le retrait ou le décollage.
