The apparatus serves for compression moulding performs (9)for synthetic resin containers by inserting under pressure a mould punch (15) into a die cavity (20a) loaded with a charge (8), the preforms (9)comprising an upper neck (91) provided with projections and a hollow body (92) lying below the neck (91). The apparatus comprises a plurality of first die components (21), each arranged to form the outer surface of the hollow body (92) of the perform (9), and being operated by inserting said punch (15) under pressure into each of them, to compression mould the perform (9). An equal plurality of second die components (22) are provided, each arranged to form the outer surface of the neck (91), each being associated with and secured to the first die component (21), said second component (22) being divided into at least two sectors (23) to be drawn apart to extract the preform (9). According to the method of the invention, during the step of feeding the charge into the die cavity the second die component is associated with the first die component, said second component being divided into at least two sectors able to be drawn apart to extract the preform.
L'invention a trait à un appareil permettant le moulage par compression de préformes (9) destinées à former des récipients en résine synthétique, et ce par l'insertion sous pression d'un poinçon de moulage (15) dans une cavité de matrice (20a) remplie d'une charge (8), les préformes (9) comprenant un collet supérieur (91) doté de saillies et un corps creux (92) s'étendant en dessous du collet (91). L'appareil selon l'invention comprend une pluralité de premiers éléments de matrice (21), chacun de ces derniers étant disposé de manière à former la surface externe du corps creux (92) de la préforme (9), et fonctionnant sous l'effet de l'insertion dudit poinçon (15) sous pression dans chacun d'eux, afin que ladite préforme (9) soit moulée par compression. L'appareil selon l'invention comprend également une pluralité égale de seconds éléments de matrice (22), chacun de ces derniers étant disposé de manière à former la surface externe du collet (91), et chacun étant associé et fixé au premier élément de matrice (21), ledit second élément (22) étant divisé en au moins deux secteurs (23), destinés à être séparés pour que la préforme (9) soit extraite. D'après le procédé selon l'invention, lors de l'étape consistant à remplir la cavité de matrice (20a) avec la charge (8), le second élément de matrice (22) est associé au premier élément de matrice (21), ledit second élément étant divisé en au moins deux secteurs (23) pouvant être séparés pour que la préforme (9) soit extraite.
