This invention is directed to a warning light or a barricade light which intermittently gives off a flash of light. Barricade lights have been in use for years. The prior art barricade lights require constant maintenance, as the batteries wear and also the filament light bulb wears and ceases to function. With the subject invention, there is a light emitting diode and a charging circuit for building up or increasing the voltage and then discharging through the light emitting diode to give a flash of light. Further, there is a sphere for receiving the light and then showing this light through a wide angle. In fact, the sphere functions as a point of light. The electronic circuit is such that the batteries can be small and inexpensive and will last a long time.
