A feed cutter is mounted in a discharge area of a bale processor and includes a rotary member with a series of mounted blades. The blades of the rotary member are configured to pass between knives mounted to a mounting frame, which attaches the feed cutter to the bale processor. The feed cutter may be used to substantially reduce the length of shredded, formerly baled, crop material that is to be used to feed livestock animals.
