A display unit comprising at least one tray. Each tray has side walls and corresponding front and back walls, a bottom joining the walls. The side walls are at least twice as long as said back or front walls. The bottom has a front portion and a back portion. The back portion defines a niche to snuggly receive the tail end of a lobster and to superimpose a portion of the tail over the tail end. The front portion comprises a space to receive individually the claws of a lobster. The uppermost portion of the walls defines a window for seeing a lobster to be displayed. The walls are slightly tilted so that the distances between the side walls or between the front and the back walls at the bottom are shorter than their corresponding distance at the top.
