The present invention relates to a method to isolate genes involved in aging and/or oxidative stress, by mutation or transformation of a yeast cell, subsequent screening of the mutant or transformed cells that are affected in aging and isolation of the affected gene or genes, and the use of these genes to modulate aging and aging-associated diseases in a eukaryotic cell and/or organism.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour isoler des gènes impliqués dans le vieillissement et/ou le stress oxydatif, par la mutation ou la transformation d'une cellule de levure, puis par criblage des cellules mutantes ou transformées touchées par le vieillissement, et par l'isolement du ou des gènes affectés. L'invention porte également sur l'utilisation desdits gènes pour moduler le vieillissement et les maladies associées au vieillissement dans une cellule et/ou un organisme eucaryotes.
