This invention is directed to a method for preventing or treating psychotic disorders comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of Formula (I) and Formula (II): (see formula I) (see formula II) wherein phenyl is substituted at X with one to five halogen atoms selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine; and, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-C4 alkyl; wherein C1-C4 alkyl is optionally substituted with phenyl (wherein phenyl is optionally substituted with substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, amino, nitro and cyano).
La présente invention concerne une méthode de prévention ou de traitement de troubles psychotiques consistant à administrer à un sujet le nécessitant, une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un composé sélectionné dans le groupe correspondant à la formule (I) et à la formule (II) où le phényle est substitué en X avec un à cinq atomes halogènes sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant du fluor, du chlore, du brome et de l'iode ; et, R¿1?, R¿2?, R¿3?, R¿4?, R¿5? et R¿6? sont indépendamment sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant de l'hydrogène et de l'alkyle C¿1?-C¿4 ?; où l'alkyle C¿1?-C¿4? est éventuellement substitué avec du phényle (où le phényle est éventuellement substitué avec des substituants indépendamment sélectionnés dans le groupe comprenant de l'halogène, de l'alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?, de l'alcoxy C¿1?-C¿4?, de l'amino, du nitro et du cyano).
