A porous microprojection member (20, 30, 40, 50) for insertion into biological tissue surrounded by interstitial fluid having a wall that includes interior and exterior surfaces, the exterior surface substantially enclosing the interior surface; and a biocompatible coating disposed on the interior surface, the microprojection member being adapted to substantially restrict contact of the coating with the tissue during insertion of the microprojection member into the tissue, the microprojection member having sufficient porosity to allow migration of the interstitial fluid through the wall of the microprojection member.
L'invention porte sur un élément de microprojection poreux (20, 30, 40, 50) à insérer dans des tissus biologiques entourés d'un fluide interstitiel présentant une paroi qui comprend des surfaces intérieures et extérieures, la surface extérieure renfermant sensiblement la surface intérieure ; et sur un revêtement biocompatible disposé sur la surface intérieure, l'élément de microprojection étant adapté pour limiter sensiblement le contact du revêtement avec les tissus au cours de l'insertion de l'élément de microprojection dans les tissus, cet élément de microprojection possédant une porosité suffisante pour permettre la migration du fluide interstitiel à travers la paroi de l'élément de microprojection.
