A closure is provided for connections between high voltage cables and other electrical equipment, such as another high voltage cable, a transformer, or switch gear. Insulation is provided by an insulating gel which forms interfaces with itself and/or materials of the cable or other electrical equipment. The interface have a high interfacial dielectric strength, which prevents failure along the interfaces.

Selon l'invention, on ferme des connexions entre des câbles haute tension (30) et d'autres équipements électriques, tels qu'un autre câble haute tension (30), un transformateur, ou un appareil de commande en isolant ces câbles à l'aide d'un gel isolant (14) formant des interfaces avec lui-même et/ou les matériaux du câble ou des autres équipements électriques. Ces interfaces ont une résistance diélectrique interfaciale élevée empêchant toute défaillance le long de celles-ci.
