Le but ou fonction de ce nouvel instrument utilitaire est que en insérant 1a base du tube à la prise fixe de la tige d'enroulement (FIG.5) En tournant â gauche ou à droite le contenu du tube se trouve expulse grâce à l'effet compresseur du plateau supérieur mobile (FIG.2) Le tube s'enroule ainsi jusqu'a ce qu'il ne reste plus rien dans le tube. L'écono-tube pourra être construit de formats différents. Tous les tubes qui existe sur le marche pourront être inséré pour ensuite être vidé par l'écono-tube. ex:(colle, dentifrice, silicone, peinture..)
