Abstract The invention describes an injection device (1) for once-only use with a syringe cylinder (2). Guided in the syringe cylinder (2) are a piston (8) and a piston rod (6) connected to the latter especially via a coupling device (7). The piston rod (6) preferably has a length which is greater than the length of the syringe cylinder (2). On the side of the ampoule facing away from the piston rod (6) there is a coupling arrangement (3), by means of which an injection needle (4) can be coupled to the syringe cylinder (2).
