The present invention provides novel methods and systems for capturing and enrichment of target nucleic acids for reducing the complexity of target nucleic acids, preferably a genomic sample, for further analysis such as direct DNA sequencing, resequencing or SNP calling. In particular, the present invention provides for the enrichment of targeted sequences in a solution based format.
