A surgical barrier device includes an inflatable thermal blanket formed integrally with, or attached to, a surgical drape. The inflatable thermal blanket is inflatable through an inlet by a thermally-controlled inflating medium. An aperture array on the undersurface of the inflatable thermal blanket exhausts the thermally controlled inflating medium from the inflatable thermal blanket. The surgical drap extends from the inflatable thermal blanket and is sized to substantially cover the entirety of the patient's body. Where patient access is required, the drape has an opening to provide access to a surgical site.
L'invention porte sur un dispositif barrière chirurgical comprenant une couverture thermique gonflable totalement intégrée à un champ stérile ou fixée à celui-ci. Cette couverture thermique peut être gonflée par un orifice d'admission à l'aide d'un milieu gonflant régulé thermiquement. Un ensemble d'orifices dans la surface inférieure de la couverture thermique gonflable permet au milieu gonflant régulé thermiquement de s'échapper de la couverture. Le champ opératoire s'étend depuis la couverture thermique gonflable et sa dimension permet de recouvrir la totalité du corps du patient. Lorsqu'on doit accéder au patient, le champ opératoire comporte une ouverture donnant accès au site d'intervention.
