Method of protecting a germinating seed treated with a pesticide comprising placing one or more pesticide-containing particles next to a pesticide-treated seed, wherein the amount of pesticide is such that the pesticide-treated seed and the pesticide-containing particles together contain an Effective Dose of the pesticide and the pesticide dose contained in the pesticide-treated seed is less than or equal to the Maximal Non-Phytotoxic Dose of the pesticide.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour protéger une graine en cours de germination traitée au moyen d'un pesticide. Ce procédé consiste à placer une ou plusieurs particules renfermant un pesticide à côté d'une graine traitée au moyen d'un pesticide. Selon l'invention, la quantité de pesticide est déterminée de manière que ladite graine traitée et lesdites particules contiennent conjointement une dose efficace du pesticide, et de façon que la dose de pesticide contenue dans la graine traitée au moyen du pesticide soit inférieure ou égale à la dose non phytotoxique maximale du pesticide.
