The invention relates to a car roof tent that attaches to the roof bars and offers storage space for the user's luggage in a compartment that is an integral part of the roof tent but which offers two means of access: external access and internal access. When the tent is closed, the user gains access from the outside to his luggage situated inside the compartment through a separate cover (3). Since the compartment part is integrated, the user also has access to it from the inside when the tent is open (tent cover (2) open) and he himself is inside the tent. He is therefore not obliged to keep going in and out between the inside of the tent and the vehicle, where his luggage would otherwise be stored. Moreover, given such a compartment, the luggage is available without clambering over the inhabitable space or through the tent sleeping area. The compartment may be on the opposite side or on one of the sides of the entrance of the roof tent. This concept of a dual-access compartment applies to roof tents in general. The roof tent according to the invention is particularly intended for those who wish to do touring camping by car.

L'invention concerne une tente de toit pour voiture se fixant sur les barres de toit et offrant un espace de rangement des bagages de l'utilisateur dans un coffre qui fait partie intégrante de la tente de toit mais dont l'accès est double : un accès extérieur et un accès intérieur. Tente fermée, l'utilisateur accède de l'extérieur à ses bagages situés dans le coffre par un couvercle (3) séparé. La partie coffre étant intégrée, l'utilisateur y accède aussi par l'intérieur lorsque la tente est ouverte (couvercle de tente (2) ouvert) et qu'il se trouve lui-même à l'intérieur de la tente, évitant des allers-retours entre l'intérieur de la tente et le véhicule, où seraient sinon rangés ses bagages. De plus grâce à un tel coffre les bagages sont disponibles sans empiéter sur le volume habitable ou la surface de couchage de la tente . Ce coffre peut se trouver à l'opposé ou sur l'un des cotés de l'entrée de la tente de toit. Ce principe de coffre à double accès s'applique aux tentes de toit en général. La tente de toit selon l'invention est particulièrement destinée à ceux qui veulent faire du camping itinérant en voiture .
