An aluminum container (10) is comprised of a base portion (12), a substantially vertical wall portion (14) extending upwardly from the base portion (12), a transition portion (16) extending from the wall portion (14), and a neck portion (18) extending from the transition portion (16). The neck portion (18) is tapered and has an upper end having a wall thickness that is preferably less than the thickness of the wall of the remainder of the neck portion. The upper end of the neck portion (18) may also be chamfered. The aluminum container (10) may be combined with a threaded sleeve (22) to form a receptacle, whereby the inner surface has a taper complementary to the taper of the neck poriton (18) so as to form a friction fit with the neck poriton (18). The sleeve (22) may also have a notch (32) formed in the periphery of its upper outside surface. When the upper chamfered end (20) of the neck (18) is curled, the neck portion (18) extends over a top end portion of the sleeve (22) and terminates in the notch (32) in the sleeve. Methods of manufacturing such a container are also disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un conteneur en aluminium (10) constitué d'une partie de base (12), d'une partie de paroi (14), qui est sensiblement verticale et qui s'étend vers le haut à partir de ladite partie de base (12), d'une partie de transition (16), qui s'étend à partir de ladite partie de paroi (14), ainsi qu'une partie de col (18), qui s'étend à partir de ladite partie de transition (16). La partie de col (18) est effilée et présente une extrémité supérieure dont l'épaisseur de paroi est de préférence inférieure à l'épaisseur de paroi du reste de la partie de col. L'extrémité supérieure de la partie de col (18) peut également être chanfreinée. Le conteneur en aluminium (10) selon cette invention peut être combiné à un manchon fileté (22) pour former un récipient. La surface interne de ce manchon présente un effilement qui est complémentaire de l'effilement de la partie de col (18), de façon à créer un ajustement serré avec cette partie de col (18). Le manchon (22) peut également présenter une encoche (32) située à la périphérie de sa surface extérieure supérieure. Lorsque l'extrémité supérieure chanfreinée (20) du col (18) est ondulée, la partie de col (18) s'étend sur une partie d'extrémité supérieure du manchon (22) et termine dans l'encoche (32) du manchon. La présente invention concerne également des procédés pour produire un tel conteneur.
