A cable comprising one or more electrical conductors or a core of one or more electrical conductors, each conductor or core being surrounded by an insulating composition comprising a mixture of: (i) about 20 to about 50 percent by weight of a homogeneous polyethylene having a polydispersity in the range of about 1.5 to about 3.5 and an essentially uniform comonomer distribution; and (ii) about 50 to about 80 percent by weight of a homopolymer of ethylene made by a high pressure process.
L'invention concerne un câble comportant un ou plusieurs conducteurs électriques ou une âme formée d'un ou de plusieurs conducteurs électriques, chaque conducteur ou âme étant enrobé(e) par une composition isolante renfermant un mélange de: (1) environ 20 à environ 50 % en poids d'un polyéthylène homogène présentant une polydispersion se situant entre 1,5 environ et 3,5 environ, et une distribution uniforme de comonomères; et (2) environ 50 à environ 80 % en poids d'un homopolymère d'éthylène obtenu par un procédé à haute pression.
